Review of the game Ether Saga Odyssey

Ether Saga Odyssey is an MMORPG in a fantasy setting and anime style, from the famous Chinese studio Perfect World. The anime style of the project made it wildly popular in Asian countries, but at the same time it never took root in the West.

Of the differences from games of this genre, one can note the wide possibilities for customizing characters and a rich pet system that allows you to independently engage in the selection of various creatures that, for some reason, look like Pokemon. By the way, there are more than two hundred varieties of them in Ether Saga Odyssey. As for the characters themselves, you will have to choose from three races: Shenzu (demigods), Renzu (humans) and Yaohi (furries). Classes have classic types: mage, healer, rogue and tank.

The main activities here, as in any other MMORPG, are grinding and completing quests in order to increase the level and quality of equipment. And when there is nothing to do, then you can start selecting Pokemon. The first pet will be given to you after reaching the twentieth level, which at first will simply follow you. Then it can be changed to both an attacker and a healer, and by calling two at once, it will be possible to merge with one, thanks to which your characteristics will increase noticeably, as well as new skills will appear.

In general, Ether Saga Odyssey turned out to be extremely interesting and unusual, but if it were not for the childish picture, poor character animation and quickly annoying gameplay, they could live much longer.
