Dead by Daylight Delays New Content to Launch Quality of Life Initiative

Behaviour Interactive has unveiled a comprehensive Quality of Life (QoL) Initiative for Dead by Daylight, aiming to address longstanding player concerns and enhance overall gameplay. This initiative will unfold in two phases: Phase 1 from April to June 2025, and Phase 2 from July to December 2025.

Key Features of Phase 1:

  • Anti-Slugging Measures: Introducing features to prevent prolonged ‘slugging’ scenarios, where players are left incapacitated on the ground for extended periods.

  • Gamma Adjustments: Players will gain the ability to modify in-game gamma settings, enhancing visibility without compromising the game’s atmospheric design.

  • Perk Loadout Enhancements: The update will allow players to view their own perk loadouts while in the lobby and provide additional preset slots for quicker customization.

  • Surrender Option: A surrender feature will be introduced, enabling players to concede under specific conditions, such as when all survivors are incapacitated.

To prioritize these improvements, Behaviour Interactive has decided to delay upcoming content releases, including new Chapters, Rifts, Event Modifiers, and Collections. This strategic shift aims to focus resources on enhancing the core game experience.

This initiative reflects Behaviour Interactive’s commitment to fostering a more enjoyable and balanced environment for all Dead by Daylight players.
