Diablo IV on Switch 2? It’s “Something to Look At,” Hints Series Manager

Could Diablo IV eventually grace the Nintendo Switch 2? While not a confirmation, Rod Fergusson, General Manager of the Diablo franchise, has offered a tantalizing glimpse of hope for Switch fans. In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Fergusson addressed the possibility, stating it’s definitely “something we look at.”

Before you get too excited, Fergusson quickly clarified that there are no current plans to announce. He emphasized Diablo’s commitment to bringing the game to as many players as possible, reflecting on Diablo III’s eventual arrival on Switch. This previous success story certainly fuels speculation about Diablo IV’s potential future on Nintendo’s upcoming console.

Fergusson explained the process, highlighting how they focus on getting a game launched initially before considering other platforms. “First we get it out on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5 – then start looking at other opportunities,” he explained. This pragmatic approach suggests that while a Switch 2 version isn’t immediately on the horizon, it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility down the line.
