Becoming a Ghoul

Players who have reached level 50 can undertake the “Leap of Faith” questline, culminating in the option to become a ghoul. This transformation grants several unique advantages:

• Radiation Immunity: Ghouls are completely immune to radiation and can even heal from exposure.​

• Exclusive Perks: Access to 28 new ghoul-specific perks and two legendary perks, enhancing various abilities.

• Character Customization: New customization options reflecting the ghoul transformation.

If players wish to revert to human form, they can do so once for free. Subsequent transformations back into a ghoul require a purchase from the Atomic Shop.

Social Dynamics and Gameplay Changes

The introduction of playable ghouls affects interactions within the game world:​

• NPC Reactions: Certain factions, such as the Brotherhood of Steel, may react negatively to ghoul characters, necessitating the use of disguises to access specific areas.

• Feral Meter: Ghouls must manage a “feral” meter; neglecting it can lead to adverse effects, adding a layer of strategy to gameplay. ​
