Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown is an online cyberpunk turn-based strategy game set in the popular Shadowrun Universe.

The dystopian is set in 2070s Boston, where technology and magic have merged, bringing ancient elves, dwarves, orcs and trolls back to life. The game has both single player and co-op seasoned with a PvP mode with an interesting development system devoid of levels.

Comparing the gameplay of Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown will be easiest with the XCOM series. The mechanics of both are very similar, but unlike the same Enemy Unknown, the developers greatly simplified the turn-based battles. For battles in single player mode, the player is given a team of rebels, and in a cooperative game there is only one hero. Also in the game there is a 4x4 PvP mode that is not very popular due to the cooperative.

In general, Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown is done very, very soundly, as the plot and gameplay are addictive from the very first minutes of the game. The only thing missing is branching dialogue, like in Shadowrun Returns. Otherwise, the guys from Cliffhunger Productions did their best and turned out to be an excellent game based on the Shadowrun universe.
