World of Darkness is an MMORPG based on the famous World of Darkness universe, on which the developers of EVE Online worked until 2014. Then they realized that this nut was too tough for them, and the development was closed. You had to start the game as a mortal, and in the future you would have to make a choice whether to remain the same or become a vampire. The game was supposed to be a hardcore perma-death sandbox. The main focus of the developers was on the social component and the interaction between the players. Alas, things didn’t get further than the internal pre-alpha, and now the MMORPG World of Darkness can be considered history at all.
