Review of the game Browser Quest
Browser Quest is a fantasy free-to-play MMORPG for playing in the browser, made in the style of the classic games of the 90s: with an isometric camera, pixel art and a 2D world. Such projects are rarely appreciated for the richness of textures, smooth animations or massive events with a large number of raid groups, they are often revered for their lightness, interesting plot and unusual style.
After the first entry into the game, it immediately becomes clear that they worked very hard on it. There are really a lot of details, but they all look standard. And, unfortunately, this "standard" and ruins the game, because apart from a good plot and a large number of details in the game there is nothing that could hook the average user. No interesting style, no unusual mobs with spells, no interesting combat system. So it turns out that even the most painstaking work can be useless without a good designer, because if Browser Quest had at least an interesting style, things for developers could be better.
In general, if we discard all the shortcomings of Browser Quest and focus on the lamp with nostalgia, we get a pretty good MMORPG that allows you to spend many evenings with pleasure without any problems.
