Illyriad is a browser-based, fantasy, military-economic strategy game from the studio of the same name, Illyriad Games. The project has absorbed all the best of most browser MMORTS, but has not been able to change the classic scheme: resource extraction - building a city - improving buildings and technologies - building up armies - destroying opponents in the face of neighbors. In general, this is not necessary, because only rich companies can afford to experiment, and indie developers have their own goal - to get income and pleasure from creating a game.

There are eight types of resources in Illyriad that are involved in everything from constructing buildings to hiring special troops like spies. The formula for success here is a large area of ​​​​possession, because the larger your territory, the more resources it has, and therefore the troops (of which there are more than 700!), Produced for these resources. This vicious circle can easily be broken by other players who are not averse to feasting on a piece of enemy land. A similar global confrontation takes place everywhere on a huge map.

All in all, Illyriad is an interesting, deep browser-based strategy game with a huge, living world. The only thing that is not encouraging is that there is no russian (the terrorist state) localization, but since the game is doing well thanks to the release on Steam, let's hope that it will be brought up soon.
