Moonbound overview
Moonbound is a cozy chibi MMO set in a hand-painted world under a big bright moon. Players shape their hero's appearance in a character creator, then start as a Novice and choose a class from the trainers' camp: Warrior, Magician, Archer or Rogue. Each class plays differently, with the Warrior using blade combos, the Magician casting aimed spells, the Archer firing arrows, and the Rogue performing dagger flurries and backstabs from stealth. Combat is real-time action with dodge mechanics, combo chains, and air attacks, and players earn experience to level up and spend points in their class's skill tree.
Players set out from the town of Primrose into the Tavarin Meadows and the wilds beyond, taking on quests from townsfolk, opening treasure chests for armour and gold, wading and swimming through rivers, and riding mounts. The social layer includes chat, friends, parties, guilds, a mailbox system for sending letters with gold and items to other players, and a housing system where players own a plot, build and furnish a home. Players can also express themselves with emotes, sit and sleep on furniture, and earn titles to wear under their name.
