Overview of the game Project Genom

Project Genom is a new sci-fi MMORPG from domestic indie developers based on Unreal Engine 4. The game has been in development for several years and boasts a number of interesting ideas, many of which have already been implemented in one form or another.

Project Genom tells about the survival of people on the planet Avalon, where they had to move after the destruction of the Earth. But they are not the only ones who laid eyes on the beautiful planet: the hostile and more advanced Almer race got in their way.

The combat system is a third-person shooter based on non-target mechanics. Space travel will become an important part of your virtual life in Project Genom: you can build your own spaceship and even use it for fire support in difficult battles. In addition to spaceships, the game offers a wide variety of land and air transport, including mounts.

To develop your character's skills, Project Genom uses a system similar to the Elder Scrolls games - the more you use skills, the more effective they become, opening up new possibilities. Moreover, you can use parasites to obtain mutations that unlock unique abilities.

There are many other interesting features in Project Genom, for example, you can use robots and exoskeletons. There is also a system of home ownership and apartment upgrades, including a hangar. Of course, there will also be resource extraction with crafting in the game. Another interesting feature is the evolution of opponents in real time.

A release date has yet to be announced, but Steam Early Access is scheduled for October 2015.
