Review of the game R2 Online

The game R2 Online or Reign of Revolution should be of interest, first of all, to fans of hard, uncompromising PvP. If you are a fan of meditatively picking flowers with roots or scrupulously going through missions, this is not your stop, go to the next one, because the project stands out from the general mass of MMORPGs precisely for its PvP orientation. Suffice it to say that PK (player killer) is not only not punished here, but also encouraged.

What's wrong with this game

The game setting is based on a standard hodgepodge of fantasy clichés. Dragons, elves, dwarves, wars of the gods, a small love story about the deep feeling of an elf and a man, the enslavement of the world ... In general, in places incoherent and quite often meaningless nonsense, which, no matter how hard you try, does not line up in a smooth, clear line. Although the developers should not be blamed for this, due to the general infection of almost all games of this genre with similar symptoms. Moreover, as mentioned earlier, the project is PvP-oriented and, first of all, they expect hard action from it, and not a thoughtfully written scenario.

In addition to scenario delights, the game does not shine with innovations in the field of game mechanics and the class-racial system. There are only two races, and five classes. Here is such a disappointing mathematics, you won’t turn around! In addition to the archer, tank, dagger and mage, a new position has recently been added to the class grid - the summoner. Is it worth explaining what this class is?

Mobs in the game also do not shine with gloss and originality. Flora and fauna are represented by all kinds of wild boars - squirrels, coexisting peacefully with orcs - goblins, in fact, on one square meter. Perhaps the only interesting detail of the game mechanics is the ability to change into animals. For the purpose of disguise, buff, and just for fun.

How can the game be interesting?

But, as already mentioned, this is not what players come to the R2 Online universe for. The agenda here is PvP. Uncontrolled and unlimited. The only islands of temporary calm are the cities where the truce is in effect. In order to start a duel, you do not even need the consent of your opponent. Just run up and start frying any oncoming-transverse.

Mass-PvP (besides those that you can arrange yourself in almost any location) is presented in the castle siege format. Control over the castle is the main indicator of the success of the guild. It also gives a lot of all kinds of goodies, such as tax evasion, or, for example, having your own guild store.

The combat system is no different from the classic one used, for example, in LA, no non-target and other interesting things. Maybe that's why the project, except for its duel component, looks sluggish and not dynamic.

As mentioned at the beginning of the review, this game can not be advised to anyone except PvP lunatics with red eyes from lack of sleep, but if you are one of them, the game will definitely not let you get bored.
