Polish studio Mighty Koi has announced a new soul liking action game called The Night Wanderer. The game is being developed for PC and current generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but the release date is still unknown.

The Night Wanderer is based on the book Lord of the Ice Garden. Night Wanderer” from the Polish science fiction writer Jaroslaw Grzhendovich. You take on the role of Vuko Drakkainen, an elite soldier and mercenary who goes on a solo mission to an uncharted alien planet. Several scientists from a previous expedition disappeared on the planet Midgaard, inhabited by creatures surprisingly similar to the people of our early Middle Ages. The planet is surrounded by a radiation field that distorts and damages all kinds of advanced technology.

The Night Wanderer features a Metroidvania-style level design and a combat system inspired by Soulsborne, emphasizing fast-paced yet tactical gameplay. According to the authors, an important aspect of the game is also a well-written, exciting storyline.
