“Battle Royale” for 60 players appeared in MMORPG World of Warcraft

Blizzard has released an update for the MMORPG World of Warcraft that adds a battle royale mode called Plunderstorm. It does not require the Dragonflight expansion, but you will need a paid subscription to play.

Plunderstorm mode offers short matches of 10-15 minutes, involving 60 people in a single or duo format. The rules are quite familiar to the genre – the last surviving player (or team) wins here. There are also chests with loot scattered around the map, and abilities can be upgraded to rank 3.

By participating in the battle royale, players can receive cosmetic items, pets, titles and mounts. These include the majestic Polly Roger parrot, Bubbles the crab pet, cosmetics for fencing enthusiasts, 750 Keg Leg Crew trader tenders for use at the trading post and much more.
