Details of the major January update 6.3 for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV – Final Fantasy XIV

The developers of the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV held a previously announced broadcast, during which they revealed the details of the next major update, 6.3: Gods Revel, Lands Tremble. Issue 74 of Letter from the Producer LIVE told us about the main innovations, changes in PVP/PVE, and more. An approximate release date was also revealed – early January 2023. Below is a summary with all the essential information.

What’s new in patch 6.3

  • Patch 6.3 will continue the main scenario quest from 6.2.
  • Tataru’s Grand Endeavor side quest will continue.
  • The Tales of Newfound Adventure side quest will continue, and the task is unlocked when pumping various roles to the maximum level.
  • Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures will continue in patch 6.35.
  • The Manderville Weapon side quest will continue in patch 6.35.
  • In patch 6.35, new tribe quests will become available and associated with opposites and crafting.
  • A new instanced dungeon will be added to the main scenario: Lapis Manalis.
  • There will be a new challenge with the difficulty of Extreme, the name and opponent are kept secret.
  • The final Unreal challenge will be against Sofia in Containment Bay P1T6.
  • In patch 6.3, a new chapter of the Myths of the Realm alliance raid series will continue. This time, you will go to Euphrosyne.
  • The contents of the new Ultimate Duty are being kept under wraps and will appear two weeks after the launch of patch 6.3.
  • Deep Dungeon #3 will arrive in patch 6.35. The dungeon will be called Eureka Orthos. Players must complete the main Endwalker scenario and go up to the 50th floor in the Palace of the Dead.
  • If you’re unfamiliar with the Deep Dungeon-style content in FFXIV, this is a dungeon whose architecture changes every time players enter it. Players start at a certain level and gain experience as they progress to the furthest floor. Weapons and equipment specific to Deep Dungeon are upgraded as you go through this content. You can also play in groups of 1-4 players with no role restrictions. Unfortunately, the difficulty does not depend on the size of the group.
  • Eureka Orthos requires level 81 or higher to enter. Once inside, players will start the game at level 81. The rules are broadly identical to other Deep Dungeons in Palace of the Dead and Heaven-on-High.
  • Duty Support (dungeon crawling with bots) will be expanded for the following Heavensward activities: The Great Gubal Library, Sohr Khai, The Aetherochemical Research Facility, Xelphatol, The Antitower, and Baelsar’s Wall.

Changes in PvP and PvE

  • Quest adjustments will be applied in PvE and PvP. However, there are no significant changes planned, but the rotation of paladins will be heavily revised—more on this in the next issue of Letter from the Producer LIVE.
  • There are no plans to change PvP abilities on the deck, and Series 3 will start at 6.3, as will the fifth season of Crystalline Conflict.
  • A new arena for Crystalline Conflict will be added, presumably in Kugane Castle.

  • New buildings will appear.
  • Improvements will be made to the workshop interface based on feedback, especially about the Agenda/Supply/Earnings report. In addition, it will be possible to collect ALL available crops/leftovers at a time.
