Deviation Games studio was closed – It was making an exclusive shooter for PlayStation 5

Los Angeles studio Deviation Games announced its closure. This studio was founded in 2020 by Call of Duty veterans Dave Anthony and Jason Blundell, and in 2021 it became known that it was developing a “revolutionary” AAA shooter based on the original intellectual property in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game was supposed to be exclusive to the PlayStation 5, but, unfortunately, it is now not destined to see the light of day.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Deviation Games,” Deviation Games Head of Human Resources and Operations Kriste Stull wrote in a LinkedIn post. “I want to express my deepest gratitude to our entire team. Thank you for all your hard work, dedication and contributions to Deviation; I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with each of you.”

Deviation Games will soon host a networking event for employees affected by the closure, to which all hiring companies are invited to attend.
