Dynamic sci-fi open-world shooter The Realm has been announced

Chinese studio Reflex Fox has announced a new sci-fi anime-style shooter, The Realm, also known under the working title Project Xingjing. The project is at a very early stage of development, so there is no release date or list of platforms yet. However, we can already appreciate the first trailer demonstrating the gameplay.

The Realm is a high-freedom open-world fantasy adventure shooter. As the authors explained, before starting development they set themselves the goal of making a fun game, focusing on the combat system and story. Unfortunately, they have not yet revealed any more details, so we can only wait for news.

“For us, The Realm is like a biological child. We put so much effort and emotion into it, and it’s inevitable that we have a little filter of “hoping that the son will become a dragon and the daughter a phoenix.” That’s why we need you: suggestions, feedback and criticism from players will give us more food for thought and help us improve. Just as comfortable clothes should be tailored, a great game should fit the players. Fortunately, there is still a long way to go,” the developers said.
