NCSOFT America announced the introduction of the Purple launcher in the global versions of some games

NCSOFT America has announced plans to introduce the Purple launcher to serve global versions of Lineage 2, AION and Blade & Soul.

Purple is a cross-platform application for PC and mobile platforms with wide capabilities: launching games, text and voice communication between players, prompt news tracking, remote game control, streaming, store, and much more. In South Korea, it has been used for several years to launch the company’s cross-platform projects, and since 2023, the application has become a unified platform for all games published in the country.

In the global market, Purple is currently only used to launch Lineage 2M. The company will soon migrate services and databases, after which players will be able to move to the new platform. Unfortunately, the exact date has not been announced.
