Nexon cancels development of Peria Chronicles – Peria Chronicles

Unexpected news came from within the walls of Nexon. The Korean publisher has decided cancel development of the anime MMORPG Peria Chronicles due to the poor quality of the latest beta version. This is rather strange, given that users generally received the game positively, although they noted shortcomings that it is quite possible to fix.

The official statement reads as follows:

“After much discussion, the development of Peria Chronicles has been halted. Nexon conducted several internal and external tests, but concluded that Peria Chronicles could not satisfy users at this stage and ended up canceling the project.”

ThingSoft has been developing Peria Chronicles for several years. Nexon’s subsidiary Korea Neople has reportedly invested more than 10 billion won (more than $8 million) in this MMORPG. The game was originally announced in 2012 under the working title Project NT, and since then it has managed to completely change the concept. Apparently, this was not enough, and the publisher decided not to spend any more money on attempts to revive the project.
