The exact release date of the free fighting game MultiVersus has become known

Player First Games studio has announced the exact release date of the free cross-platform fighting game MultiVersus. The game will be available on May 28, 2024, on PC, XBOX ONE, XBOX X/S, and PlayStation 4/5. Since the end of the open beta in June 2023, the developers have been preparing for the release and have done a lot of work based on feedback from testers.

One of the major changes was the porting of the game to Unreal Engine 5, which improved graphics quality and client performance. The net code has been reworked to ensure a stable experience for players around the world.

At release, new characters will appear in the game, and those previously present will receive new techniques and combat mechanics, which will allow players to show their skills. Among the new content, there is also a PvE mode that will offer unique rewards for completing tasks.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighting game with two-on-two team mode, featuring famous characters from the Warner Bros. universes. Open testing took place from July 2022 to June 2023. The game was in demand, and the total number of downloads on all platforms was more than 20 million in the first month. It was previously reported that the accumulated progress will be transferred to the release version.
