The Sinking City 2 will turn into a full-fledged horror

During the March Xbox Partner Preview event, Frogwares studio announced The Sinking City 2, a sequel to The Sinking City, released in 2019. The developers emphasized that, unlike the first part, the new product will become a full-fledged horror game. which places more emphasis on combat while still maintaining the Lovecraftian plot.

“The Sinking City is one of our most successful games, because we are more inclined towards the horror genre and setting,” said the head of the Frogwares publishing house Sergei Oganesyan. “This was something of a breakthrough for us, and we are very excited to be working on a full-scale horror game. We’ve done a lot of mystery adventures in the past, so now we’re going to mix things up to continue doing what people love about us – a rich story experience – while still being able to evolve.”

The Sinking City 2 will be released in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
