Black Desert's big update brought an updated plot and Elvia territories to Calpheon

Elvia’s new lands in Calpheon will allow players to face stronger enemies cursed by the Goddess of Despair Hadum and experience new mechanics. For example, after defeating an enemy near the particular point “Desperation Breach”, it is possible to cause “Space Distortion in Elvia”, which will change the in-game weather and cause a powerful boss.

As for the updated plot, the changes affected the chain of missions on the territory of Balenos. The location is a starting introductory zone for beginners and now has fully voiced cutscenes, improved appearance of NPCs, clearer descriptions of quests and additional tasks.
